Our chimney inspector is a licensed contractor which has specialized in chimney restoration, rebuilds, and new construction who has additionally taken the certification course to learn the codes and NFPA standards.

He works in the field daily troubleshooting drafting/venting problems, smoke and odor problems, water leaks, and performing real estate inspections for sales. He has demolished and rebuilt masonry and prefabricated fireplace and chimneys as well as hybrid fireplaces and chimneys (part masonry-part prefab).

List of CHIMNEY Services:

Level I Inspection (visual inspection, the most basic of inspections--NOT TO BE DONE FOR A HOME SALE!)

Level II Inspection (smoke test or video camera--NFPA 211 -National Fire Protection Association Standards and Codes--mandates that a Level II inspection be completed on each chimney prior to a home sale or at the time a property changes hands---A Home Inspector is not qualified  or authorized to perform a Level II inspection)

Level III Inspection (addresses the proper construction and condition of concealed portions of the chimney and flue system---removal or destruction of permanently attached portions of the chimney or building structure will be required for the completion of this level)

Chimney Cleaning

TSR (third Stage creosote removal)--to be done on heavy buildup that is at risk for causing a chimney fire

Flashing Installation and Repairs (located at the base of the chimney where it connects to roofline--is a big source for water problems)

Crown repair (seal or build chimney crown to resolve water problems)

Chimney rebuilds--partial or complete

Installation of dampers (makes homes more energy efficient and saves on costly utility bills)

Installation of prefab fireplaces, chimneys
